NO 846 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed at Naval Air Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island, USA. Served on Russian Convoys in Escort Carriers. Today the Squadron trains Naval and Marine Pilots to work with the Royal Marines.

English Blue; over barry wavy of six white and blue a man proper helmeted and holding in the sinister hand a sword gold and mounted on a pegasus white attacking a sea serpent proper langued red.

Motto: Semper instans.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Always threatening". The Badge was approved on 5 August 1944.
