D’azur, au moulin à vent au naturel à quatre ailes d’or, posé sur une île de sinople baignant dans des eaux d’argent ondées d’azur et accompagné, en chef dextre, d’un croissant montant d’argent posé sur un croissant renversé du même et, en chef senestre, d’une bague d’or. En cimier, un diadème de reine d’or serti de rubis et de saphirs posé sur une torque d’or et d’azur.

Origin/meaning

The arms show the local windmill, dating from the early 18th century, standing on the island of Île-Perrot. The colours indicate the island and its surrounding waters. The crescents are taken from the arms of governor Jean Talon, who granted the island to François-Marie Perrot in 1672. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
