Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 10, 1819 and again on December 7, 1840.
The arms show a black harrow on a blue field and a silver bend. The bend is taken from the arms of the Lords of Outrijve van Idewalle. The harrow is a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality at the time.
