Dutch	In sinopel een linkerschuinbalk van goud, beladen met een hart van keel, vergezeld in het hoofd van een zespuntige ster en in de voet van een iris, alles van goud. Het schild geplaatst voor een processiekruis. Groene prelatenhoed met aan weerszijden van het schild zes kwasten. Wapenspreuk: JE TE BENIS PERE.

The star in chief is taken from the arms of Cardinal Godfried Danneels under whom Bishop Lanneau served.

The iris flower is the symbol of the Brussels Region. The colours red and green are those of the city of Brussels.

The bend represents the kingship of Christ who makes us participate in the loving kingdom of God, as symbolised by the heart.

The achievement is completed with the heraldic insignia of a prelate of the rank of bishop.
