Origin/meaning

This is a differenced version of the arms of the armiger's brother, Alexander Michael Stuart Green, who is a Solicitor living in Aberdeen. Whereas his arms have an Irish harp, the armiger's have a cross patonce. The rest of the arms reflect his membership of the Scottish Law Society (the sword and balance in saltire), the triple tower from the coat of arms of Aberdeen, Scotland, and the sprig of juniper symbolising their family connection through their grandmother with Clan Ross (the Chief wears a sprig of juniper in his bonnet). The ecclesiastical hat reflects the fact that the armiger is a priest in the Church of England. The motto means "Without good will there is no truth".
