Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 30, 2009.

The horse is a canting element (kon) and te fleur-de-lys refer to the Archdiocese of Gniezno, to which a large part of the area historically belonged.

The previous arms were adopted in 1992.

The horse is surrounded by symbols for luck (horseshoe, clover) and agriculture (clover, wheatear).
