In front of an oak tree eradicated an acorn all proper
Motto: Seul le premier pas coute = Only the beginning is difficult.

Origin/meaning

The Oak symbolises the location near the Boscobel Oak. The Acorn suggests the small beginning from which members of the RAF will grow after their time at the Station, which houses Training Units. The badge was granted in March 1949.
