History: Formed in July 1914.

A gannet proper.
Motto: In cælum volatatem in mare tonantem = Flying into the sky, thundering into the sea.

Origin/meaning

The Station taught aerobatics and as the Gannet dives into the sea at a very steep angle to cath its prey was considerated a appropriate emblem for a Station also involved in the Anti-Submarine Role. The badge was granted in July 1937.
