In front of a wreath of laurel a sword in pale argent/or the hilt beeing held by two right hands proper.
Motto: Strive to equal.

Origin/meaning

The Sword symbolises the RAF, the laurel indicated training given. The Hands symbolises the passing of knowledge from the instructors to the recruits. The badge was granted in April 1952 but was later withdrawn when is was discovered that there was no Station of this Name only no 5 School of Recruit Training is residence. The use of the Reserve Command Badge with the name RAF WEST KIRBY in the frame was approved in place.
