A gilt sword upon an anvil over an open book.
Motto: Tempered and Ready.

Origin/meaning

The Sword and anvil symbolises the work of craftsmen in the traditionally skilled trade of armament (support). The Book represent the technical study done at the base. The badge was originally approved for RNZAF Station Woodbourne in November 1955 and for the Base in July 1979.
