Arms of Rewal

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on October 18, 2012.

The arms show the griffin, the symbol of Pommerania. The two wavy lines symbolize the seaside location of the community. The arch is a fragment of a wall of the church in Trzęsacz.

From the early 1990s until 2012 the municipality used different arms, showing the letter R and a crosier. The letter is the initial of the municipality, the crosier refers to the diocese of Kamien Pomorski, to which parts of the municipality historically belonged. The seven points around the crosier refer to the seven villages of the municipality.
