Origin/meaning

The wings symbolize St. Michael the Archangel, the patron of the Archdiocese of Toronto where Bishop Kasun serves as an auxiliary bishop; of St. Michael's College, Toronto, where he studied; of St. Michael's College School, Toronto, where he taught; and of the parish in which he was born and raised.

Blue is a colour associated with St. Michael and many of the institutions that bear his name, as well as with the Blessed Virgin Mary. The book represents the teaching and preaching ministry of the Basilian Fathers of which Bishop Kasun is a member. Green and gold are the colours of [[Saskatchewan\\, where Bishop Kasun was born and raised.
