Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 24, 1972.

The tree refers to the origin of the name, Roden means clearing forest. At the same time it refers, together with the green colour, to the nature of the Spessart area. The village historically belonged until 1803 to the Neustadt am Main Abbey, the letter N is taken from the arms of the abbey.
