Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 26, 1984.

The three water lily leaves are taken from the (alleged) arms of the Roeser family. Until 19793 the municipality used as arms three red leaves on a silver field, the shield covered with a mural crown. When the major applied for official permission to use the arms, it was noted that these were not the Roeser arms, but the arms of the Bourscheid family. It was thus decided to change the arms.

As it is not allowed to use complete personal arms as municipal arms, now even when the arms are no longer used by the family, the border was added to the old arms.
