Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 1, 1994.

The arms are canting; the name is derived from Schöne Brunne, meaning a place with a beautiful fountain. The beautiful is symbolised by the sun.

The village in the 19th century used a seal with Lady Justice, similarly to many other villages in Germany. Hence a new composition was designed in 1993/4.
