Shield: Sable, a griffin's head erased Or, garnished of the first above a lightning flash Tenné and a sword point up of the second in saltire; a brodure bendy-sinister of seven Azure and Argent.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2,86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Sable, a griffin's head erased Or, garnished of the first above a lightning flash Tenné and a sword point up of the second in saltire; a brodure bendy-sinister of seven Azure and Argent. Attached below the shield is a Black scroll inscribed "WE FIGHT AS ONE" in Gold letters.

Origin/meaning

The Griffin symbolises Vigilance and Strangth. Black and Withe denotes round the clock operations Day and Night. The Lightning flash symbolises the Communications Capability. The Sword is taken from the Insignia of the Military Intelligence Branch, symbolises Intelligence Collection, Analysis and Electronic Warfare Support. The Brodure alludes to the Insignia of the 3rd Infantry Division.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 13 December 2004.
