Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: Ona silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3,18 cm) in width overall Quarterly Argent and Azure, first and fourth a lightning flash bendwise Tenné, second and third a sunburt issuant from fess point throughout, a chief embattled Guled, bering a dagger fesswise Proper, detailed of the last. Arched beneath the shield a Teal scroll inscribed "BY COURAGE AND ARMS" in Silver metal letters.

Origin/meaning

The Red embattled chief symbolises the Engineer part of the Battalion. The Lightning Flash indicate the Signal Part. The Sun indicated the Military intelligence part of the Battalion. The Bordure symbolises the cohesion and coordination necessary to execute the Mission. The Bayonet/Dagger symbolises the Military readiness of the Battalion.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit insignia, was both approved on 19 October 2005.
