Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Azure, on a pile reversed between four parachuted deloyed in pile reversed Argent, a pickaxe palewise, axehead upwards Sable, surmounted by two lighting bolts in bend Tenné, surmounted by a double-ward key bendsinister, wards to base of the third.

Origin/meaning

The Pile and Pickaxe allude to engineering skills and the function of the Engineer Company. The Key denotes security and the Military Intelligence function. The Lightning bolts symbolises the Signal Company. The Parachutes symbolises the Airborne mission, and their number allude to the 4th Brigade.

The coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 1 August 2006.
