THE DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY, BRITISH ARMY
History: The Durham Light Infantry was formed in 1881 by amalgamation of the 68th (Durham) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) and 106th Bombay Ligth Infantry. The last mentioned Regiment was raised in 1839 as the 2nd Bombay European Regiment (Light Infantry).
Official blazon
A bugle mouthpiece to the right, with strings taken upwards into the base of the crown; whitn in the strings the letters DLI. The Bugle is ornamented with a leaf motif.
