THE ROYAL IRISH FUSILIERS (PRINCESS VICTORIA'S), BRITISH ARMY

History: raised in 1793 as the 87th Foot and in 1794 as the 89th Foot. In 1881 these two Regiments formed the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Princess Victoria's (Royal Irish Fusiliers). In 1968 amalgamated with The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, British Army and The Royal Ulster Rifles, British Army to form The Royal Irish Rangers (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd and 87th), British Army.
