Tierp kommunvapen

Official blazon

I rött en humlekvist med ax och två blad, allt av guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1977.

The arms show a branch of hops, taken from the historical seal of the Tierp hundred.

The arms replaced the older arms of Tierp town, which were granted on June 10, 1954.

Tierp kommunvapen

These arms are also derived from the old seal. See also Tierp rural municipality.
