Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1958.

The arms show in the upper part a bull's head taken from the seal of Tjurs hundred, known since 1560. The bull's head (Tjur) is a canting element. The flower is taken from the seal of Simtuna hundred, known since 1704. The municipality was historically part of the two hundreds.
