Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 25, 1980.

The arms are based on the arms of the Lasser zu Lasseregg und Unterach family, Lords of the village, and shown in the local church on family graves and glass-stained windows. The fish at the same time is a symbol for the former importance of fisheries in the municipality.

The arms were already used unofficially between the two world wars, but not formally adopted until 1979 and granted in 1980.
