Escudo de azul, fonte de ouro jorrando água de prata, realçada de negro; em chefe, cruz pátea de prata; campanha ondada de prata e azul de três tiras. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ VÁRZEA – S. PEDRO DO SUL “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 19, 2000.

The fountain symbolises the famous spa of São Pedro do Sul, which is located in the parish. The cross refers to King Afonso Henriques, who spent some time in the village.

The base refers to the Vouga river.
