VFA-83 RAMPAGERS, US NAVY

History: The Reserve Squadron VF-915 was activated 1 February 1951 for the Korean War, becoming on 4 February 1953 VF-83 and on 1 July 1955 VA-83. The Present designation was given on 1 March 1988.

Homeport: NAS Oceana, Virginia.
