Wappen von Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Niedere Börde

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 26, 1998.

The arms show a typical gate for the local farms. The horse head symbolises the horses that for many centuries went through these gates to work the fields. At the same time the gate also symbolises the gate into the Börde region from the Altmark region. The wavy bars refer to the Ohre river and the Mittellandkanal canal.
