Official blazon

En campo de azur (azul) aspa de plata, resaltado de una fortaleza emblemática de sable perfilado de plata. Bordura de oro cargado de siete cabezas de perro de sable (negro).

Origin/meaning

The Saltire is form the Flag of the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Fortification is the Fort of San Juan o Castillo (constructed 1640-1643). The Seven Dogs Heads alludes to the Seven Canary Islands and the Brigade "Canarias" XVI which the Battalion supports. The Coat of Arms was approved on 13 October 1995. ___________________________________________________________
