The Coat of Arms was originally approved for the 1st Quartermaster Battalion on 26 March 1953. It was redesignated for the 501st Supply and Transport Battalion on 13 March 1962. It was again redesignated with symbolism amended for the 501st Support Battalion on 31 July 1987. The Coat of Arms was amended to add a Crest on 1 May 1990. | |||
