Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a green vertical oval environed by a black designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border and inscribed in green letters “WYANDANCH” at top and “WARRIORS” at bottom, a white torch enflamed yellow between two white arrows points to base pilewise barbed yellow. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a triangle point to base quartered green and black charged with a gold Native American head in war bonnet below a gold chevron inscribed “WARRIORS” in black letters, all within a gold and black checky border.
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Green and gold are taken from the school colors. The Indian Warrior is the school mascot representing the Indian Chief named Chief Wyandanch.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Green, gold, and white are the school colors. The Indian Warrior is the school mascot.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved on 16 April 1996.
