TAIVASSALO
Region : Varsinais-Suomi
Former province : Länsi-Suomi (until 1997 Turku and Pori)
Official blazon
Punaisessa kentässä kultainen yksimastoinen purjealus, jonka purjeessa punainen Mantovan risti.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 11, 1954.
The arms show a medieval ship, indicating the longtime maritime tradition in the village, which dates back to the times of the crusades, hence the cross on the sail.
