====Origin/meaning====
===Origin/meaning===
The bag in the arms is rather unique and is already seen on the oldest known seal, known from 1476. Ensingen was a possession of the Counts of Vaihingen and became a possession of Württemberg in 1356. The origin of the bag is not known, but it has always been the symbol of the town. The colours are known since 1919, and haven't changed.
