Radolfzell was a village that belonged to the monastery in [[Reichenau]], became a city in 1267, was sold to the Habsburg family in 1298 and became an imperial city in the 15th century. The oldest seal of Radolfzell shows a bishop (probably St. Radolf) and dates from the end of the 13th century.
