-Theoldest seal dates from 1314 and shows a ram on a bridge with some towers. The bridge (Brücke) is canting. All seals until the 16<sup>th</sup> century show the ram and bridge, but not always with the towers. Only between 1353 and 1373, when the city was a possession of the Kings of Bohemia, the buck was replaced by the lion of Bohemia. In the 16<sup>th</sup> century the ram was replaced by the canting deer (Hirsch). The colour of the shield was red until 1818 when it was replaced by the blue of Bayern.
