Medio partido y cortado. Primero, de azur, faro en su color. Segundo, de sinople, dos saltamontes de oro, pasantes y puestos en palo. Tercero, de plata, cardón de sinople. Bordura de gules con la leyenda “Daute es mi bando. Tenerife mi isla. Buenavista mi nombre” en letras de oro. Al timbre, corona real cerrada.

The arms were officially granted on March 10, 1986.
 
The blue colour in the right chief is symbolizing sea and sky, according to the words of Viera y Clavigo the "loyal companions of the
village". The lighthouse is the tower of Punta de Teno. The green colour in the left chief is symbolizing the regions fertility, finally
giving the village its name.
 
The grashoppers are reminding on a legend. According to the story in 1659 grashoppers had devastated the whole island but Buenavista by a miracle was excempted. The cactus is reminding on a big one, which had formerly existed in the village, having the huge size of 148 sqm. Today it is disappeared.
 
The red colour of the bordure is reminding at the same colour of the soil in the El Palmar-region. The inscription "Daute es mi bando" refers to
the existence of the former Guanche mini-kingdom named "Daute".
