Official blazon

  • (2007) Sinisellä kilvellä yläreunaltaan sahakoroinen ja alareunaltaan aaltokoroinen hirsi, jonka yläpuolella kolme kuusisakaraista tähteä rinnakkain ja alapuolella siika, kaikki hopeaa.
  • (1954) Sinisessä kentässä kolme uivaa hopeasiikaa alakkain

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2007.

The arms combine the arms of Ruukki with one of the fish from the previous arms.

The previous arms were officially granted on November 15, 1954.

The whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus) are canting; siika-joki means whitefish-river.
