Origin/meaning

Mittelbergheim means 'the place between the mountains' in German, even though the village is situated on top of a mountain. The arms thus show three mountains to symbolise the geographical situation.

The arms in Hozier (1696)

The arms by Schœnhaupt, 1900

The arms in the Café Sanka album +/- 1932
