BECH
Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted in 1989.
The division of the shield and the head are based on the old arms of the Lords of Wiltz. The cross is taken from the arms of the Berbourg family. Hugues de Berbourg came into possession of the village as a gift from the abbey in 1256. The lords of Berbourg, and later also the lords of Bech, used first a red cross on a golden field, later a black cross on a silver field.
