Origin/meaning

From the Arms fo Admiral of the Fleet Baron Anson of Soberton (1697-1762). Who circumnavigated the world in HMS Centurion between 1741-1743. He was the last Sea Lord to fight at Sea. The Latin Motto translates as "Despair of nothing". The Badge was approved in 1937.
