Description: On a blue rectangle arced at top and bottom a yellow bendelet between a yellow cougar’s head above and a yellow demi-torch below; and attached above, a blue scroll inscribed “ANSBACH” and attached below a blue scroll inscribed “COUGARS” all in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height and all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, the overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width. |
Origin/meaning
Blue and gold (yellow) are the school colors. The cougar is the school mascot and the torch symbolizes leadership and knowledge. The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 3 May 1985.
