KIRSCHNAUMEN

Département : Moselle

Blason de Kirschnaumen/Arms (crest) of Kirschnaumen
Official blazon
French De gueules à la croisette d'or, accompagnée de trois coquilles d'argent (d'or) 2 et 1 et de trois besants d'or 1 et 2.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The cross is that of the abbey of Bouzonville to which the parish depended. The golden balls refer to the ancient Celtic market (Naumen) and the Roman coins found in Evendorff. Finally, the shells recall the provost of Sierck, of which the locality belonged.
