Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 24, 1981.

The to battle-axes are taken from the arms of the Lords of Morelbach and thus symbolise Mörlbach. The red eagle head refers to the eagle of Brandenburg and thus to the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, to whom the village belonged for a long period of time. The black imperial eagle refers to the Imperial city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which had some possessions in the municipality.
