SILLIAN

State : Tirol
District : Lienz

Sillian.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were never officially granted, but have been used since the 17th century.

The arms show two black ropes connected with two golden rings. The ropes are probably canting, the name may have been derived from Siele, which is also the name for ropes to hold horses and oxen.
