UNGERDORF
State : Steiermark
District : Weiz
Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on July 2nd, 1990.
Ungerdorf is named after the Ungarn, the Hungarians. In the High Middle Ages, the village was near the border of the land. The sole charge of the arms is a bow of the ancient Hungarian type. One part of Ungerdorf is named Frankenberg (after early settlers, probably), so the shield was divided like the war banner of the Duchy of Franken.
