A ligthning flash has ben used by the father of Peter Willemoes as a symbol. Willemoes was a Danish Naval Officer that at the age of only 17 had commanded a Floating Battery at the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801 against the British, with such bravery that Admiral Nelson (who commanded the British Forces)after the battle supposedly recommanded the Danish Crown Prince Frederick thet he raise Willemoes to the rank of Admiral. To which the Crown Prince answered: If i was to reward all my men for their bravery, I would have a Fleet of Admirals. Willemoes was not promoted Admiral but continued to Serve first with the Danish Frigate Rota in the Mediterranean Sea and the breifly with the Russian Navy before returning to Danish Service. To fall in the Battle of Zealand Point 22 March 1808 against the British. | A ligthning flash has ben used by the father of Peter Willemoes as a symbol.
