Origin/meaning

The arms was officially granted in 1934. It is based on the City Seal from 1693. The Angel's Head (Cherub) alludes to the Name, Ängel is Swedish for Angel.
The Salmons symbolises the Fishing in the Rönneå. The meaning of the Crown is unknown.
