Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/32 inches (2.62 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules, a projectile bendwise, scintillant Or. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed “ON THE WAY” in Red letters.

Origin/meaning

The shield is red for Artillery. The projectile with its lightning streaks represents the deadliness of artillery fire.

The arms were originally approved for the 152d Field Artillery Regiment on 24 January 1930. It was amended to change the blazon on 29 January 1930. It was redesignated for the 152d Field Artillery Battalion on 6 June 1955. The insignia was redesignated for the 152d Artillery Regiment on 27 April 1961. On 14 July 1972, it was redesignated for the 152d Field Artillery Regiment. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was originally approved for the 152d Field Artillery Regiment on 24 January 1930. It was amended to change the description on 28 January 1930. It was redesignated for the 152d Field Artillery Battalion on 6 June 1955. The insignia was redesignated for the 152d Artillery Regiment on 27 April 1961. On 14 July 1972, it was redesignated for the 152d Field Artillery Regiment.
