History: Constituted as 18 Air Police Squadron, Fighter, Single Engine, on 10 Aug 1948. Activated on 14 Aug 1948. Redesignated as: 18 Air Police Squadron, Fighter, Jet, on 23 Dec 1949; 18 Air Police Squadron on 20 Jan 1950. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1957. Redesignated as 18 Security Police Squadron on 30 Aug 1974. Activated on 30 Sep 1974. Redesignated as 18 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.
