Origin/meaning

Dark blue and scarlet are the colours traditionally associated with Personnel Services units. The Chevron represents support and the unit's motto.
The Compass rose symbolizes the battalion's capability and potential for service wherever required. The palm denotes victory and highlights the unit's campaigns
in the Pacific and Southwest Asia. The red lion symbolizes the battalion's meritorious unit citation: the sun, which alludes to excellence suggests the Pacific.
The Coat of Arms was authorized on 1 May 1998.
