Official blazon

Shield: Per bend Buff and Gules, in dexter chief a laurel wreath Vert, superimposed by a torch Celeste enfalmed Proper, in sinister base a sword palewise Or, point up surmounted on the blade by two keys in saltire wards upward and outward of the last; on a chief Celeste a pair of wings conjoined and dispalyed Or, charged on each wing with a lightning bolt in chevron reversed Gules.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Georgia Army National Guard: From a wreath Or and Gules, a boar's head Gules, in the mouth an oak branch Vert fructed of the first.
Motto: Providing the keys to victory.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall a shield blazoned as follows: Per bend Or and Gules, in chief a laurel wreath Proper supreimposed by a torch and enflamed of the first, in base a sword palewise point up, surmounted on the balde by two keys in saltire wards upward and outward, all of the last; on a chief Celeste, wings conjoined and displayed Or, charged on each wing with a lightning bolt in chevron reversed Gules. Attached below the shield, a Balck scroll inscribed "PROVIDING THE KEYS TO VICTORY" in Gold.

Origin/meaning

Scarlet and Buff symbolises Support Units. The Laurel Wreath symbolises achievement and high ideas. The Torch signify Knowledge. The Sword stands for Military Readiness and the Keys are symbols of the Quartermaster function. The Wings alludes to the Aerial Mission of the Battalion and the Lightning Bolts stands for speed.

The Coat of Arms and Coat of Arms was both approved on 10 May 2006.
