Origin/meaning

Organised in 1917 of Units form Oklahoma and Texas, this is indicated by the Arrowhead from Oklahoma (previously known as Indian Territory) and a T for Texas. Deactivated in 1919 it was reactivated 1923-45. irt was reformed in 2004 by the reorganisation of the 49th Armored Division and today consists of Units from Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
